How we protect your school’s data

Every school’s data is kept apart

Many schools use CampusMonkey, but no school can see another’s records. The separation isn’t only a rule in our software — the database itself checks, on every request, that records belong to the school asking for them. A mistake in the app would return nothing rather than someone else’s data.

Sensitive details are protected

• Identity numbers such as Aadhaar are stored encrypted.
• Passwords are never stored — only a secure one-way scramble of them that can’t be turned back.
• Payments are handled by the payment gateway; CampusMonkey never sees or stores card numbers.

You decide who sees what

• Every person signs in with their own account, and each role — office, accountant, teacher, parent — sees only what it needs.
• Repeated wrong passwords lock an account for a while.
• You can limit sign-in to office hours for the roles you choose.

Everything is recorded

Every change to a record is written to the school’s audit trail: who, what and when. If a fee was changed or a mark corrected, you can see by whom.

When our team helps you

CampusMonkey’s support staff can sign in to your school only to solve a problem you’ve raised — with a stated reason, for a limited time, and with a banner showing while they are in. It is recorded in your audit trail, and your administrator can switch it off entirely.

Your data stays yours

The records your school keeps in CampusMonkey belong to your school. You can ask for a complete copy at any time — every table as a spreadsheet file. If you leave, you take everything with you.
